The challenge
How do we as a manufacturer reach patients and users directly, without any intermediaries? And how do we get our message straight to the people who need it most?
Our solution
The answer: create helpful content that fits our products and therapies, then make sure it ranks well on Google.
Background
As early as 2023, 62% of Germans were going online to prepare for a doctor’s appointment, and the number keeps rising. These users, and many more, are the ones we want to reach. We bring them to our websites and channels, inform them and refer them onward to their doctor and to specialist retailers.
The project

Central content management
Our website bauerfeind.de is the heart of everything we do digitally in the medical division. It works as the content hub for Germany and Europe and runs on the powerful content management system TYPO3.
User first
The site is split into three main areas: products, health and about us. The goal is simple: whatever patients and users want to know, they find it here. It makes no difference whether they search for a specific product name, an indication, or simply the word Bauerfeind.

»The website is a central point of contact for the digital customer journey at Bauerfeind.«
Sebastian Limmer,
Head of Digital Marketing Operations

Real value for visitors and for search
Over the past few years we have created more than 180 articles that inform patients and users about therapies with our products and about the brand. This content gives us very strong visibility in search engines. In 2024 we counted more than 4 million users on our website. 84% of them found us through Google and other search engines.
Always ahead of the curve
We tackle challenges like Google updates, data protection, accessibility and the shifts driven by AI together as a team.
